Workshop: Container Gardening
September 18 @ 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm1401 4th Street
San Francisco, CA United States
Learn how to grow food in raised beds or containers! In this class, we’ll discuss wise choices for the limited space and resources available to you in an urban garden. We’ll cover plant choice, soil fertility, watering and maintenance in this class, and have plenty of time for questions and discussion.
Hosted by: Debbie Ganesh
Debbie is our Head Gardeners at NOMADgardens. She holds a law degree from University of Western Ontario, practicing law in Canada before moving to San Francisco fifteen years ago. In addition to just gaining her San Mateo-San Francisco Master Gardener certification, she also teaches her two children how to grow their own food. She has a passion for digging in the dirt and believes that gardening is an act of faith and optimism. Gardening in Mission Bay has been a non-stop learning experience and teaching is the best way of improving your own skills. She has 4 growing seasons under her belt here at NOMADgardens; therefore has valuable advice on what works (and what doesn’t!) in our sunny but windy Mission Bay microclimate.
