Lets start the year with a Design Competition…
Check out the International Design Excellence Awards (IDEA), the annual contest from the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA). According to IDEA, “designs for practically anything may be entered”—and with categories for everything from bathroom furnishings to surgical products, they mean it. Entries are being accepted now, with the regular deadline set for Feb. 11, 2013. Winners will be announced July 1, with a ceremony at IDSA’s international conference in Chicago to follow in August.
