Monday Morning Photo(s) Desert Edition
For today’s Monday Morning Photo(S) we have a look at a project by NYC Architectural firm Oller & Pejic, in collaboration with Creative Director Marc Atlan, who have designed the “Black Desert House”, a desert retreat with impressive views of Joshua Tree National Park in California.
The house is built around a central courtyard, which is set to a backdrop of black walls, midnight quartz, high-gloss anthracite ( also called hard coal , the most highly metamorphosed form of coal) and darkened steel. The interiors are very simple but create a great contrast of colors, textures and shapes.
Here are a few photographs of this amazing project!
