Monday Morning Photo(s) Oscars Edition

For today’s Monday Morning Photo’s we have a look at the beautiful work by Tony and Emmy award winning set designer Derek McLane. For the third year in a row he has been tasked with creating a dazzling backdrop for Hollywood’s biggest night, the Oscars. The Academy has used a floating stars or Oscars motif for a number of years, but this year’s set took it up a notch with the use of red and gold into the color scheme that popped without distracting from the talent in the foreground, the use of lighting was also a key element, with the use of more than 500 Edison lightbulbs throughout the stage.
