Supplanting The Pavement (October 22, 2011)

The Studio for Urban Projects has an urban greening event coming up called, “Supplanting the Pavement.” New York Times writer, Allison Arieff, will lead a panel discussion about sidewalk greening. Participants will include Jane Martin of Plant*SF, Gillian Gillett of Greening Guerrero , John Bela of Rebar, and Andres Power, the Project Manager of SF Pavement to Parks. They will all discuss topics ranging from urban beautification, traffic calming, and rain water diversion to reclaim roadway for pedestrian usage.
