IAD's Winter Show 2011 & Design Icon Award

For the very first time, the Academy of Art University School of Interior Architecture & Design hosted a Winter Show – showcasing the most extravagant work from students who were enrolled in Summer and Fall 2011 semesters. Dr. Elisa Stephens and Laura Blumenfeld both honored Dakota Jackson, an American designer and manufacturer of high-end furniture for residential contract and institutional applications, with our first Icon Award.
The event was packed with an eclectic blend of industry people – editors and directors from national design publications, including the School of Fashion Executive Director, Gladys Perint Palmer.
All of our guests were mesmerized by the quality of work that was produced by our students. Once again, the School of Interior Architecture& Design shined with the exceptional effort from the IAD team and with the outstanding work from our students.
I want to thank everyone for the support.
