Looking for a fun volunteer event? Check out the One Tam Work Day Celebration. See details provided by Marin’s Park Stewardship Team, on behalf of the Tamalpais Lands Collaborative:
“Join our inaugural One Tam work day celebration! On November 22, from 10 am-1 pm (2 pm for one of the projects), the One Tam initiative of the Tamalpais Lands Collaborative will be hosting “Mt. Tam Day of Thanks,” a series of volunteer events to celebrate and give thanks for this beloved mountain:
- Habitat Restoration and Holiday Wreath Making at Sky Oaks, hosted by Marin Municipal Water District. Family friendly; volunteers of all ages welcome. This event will last until 2 pm. (Register)
- Broom Busting Pizza Party on Horse Hill, hosted by Marin County Parks. Family friendly; volunteers of all ages welcome. (Register)
- Home for the Holidays, hosted by the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy. Help the endangered coho salmon as they come home from the ocean. Participate in habitat restoration along Redwood Creek at Muir Beach. Volunteers of all ages welcome; adult chaperones required for youth under 15. (Register)
- Mountainside Trail-Tending, Fence-Fixing, and Hot-Chocolate Making at Pantoll Station, hosted by California State Parks. Family friendly; volunteers of all ages welcome; adult chaperones required for youth under 18. (Register)
- Trail Tending at Muir Woods, hosted by the National Park Service. Minimum participant age of 10 years old; adult supervision required for youth under 15. (Register)
