PARK(ING) DAY!
Park(ing) Day is upon us! This Friday, September 20th, 2013, the Student Affiliate Chapter of the ASLA will be taking to the streets of San Francisco to install their very first Park(ing) Day Installation.
The integration of mechanical and digital power is at the crux of the design for this installation; In today’s digital world, we all worry about how many bars of battery we have left over so that we don’t miss a beat on updating our Facebook statuses, Instagram shots, and Tumblr reads! Well, what if there was a way to turn your pedaling time on your commute to work/school into a full charge on your cell phone ???? (Einstein would be very proud!)
Visit the School of Landscape Architecture’s Park(ing) Day installation on the Southwest end of Joseph Conrad Park (corner of Columbus and Leavenworth) to charge up your phone, meet our innovative Landscape Architecture students, mingle with tourists and locals, and enjoy the great public open spaces our beautiful city has to offer!
See you on Friday, September 20th, 2013!!!
