If you signed up for the summer semester in Academy of Art University, we hope you’re ready to bid the summer break goodbye because things are about to get busy.
School doesn’t officially open till next week, June 24, but there are already a good bunch of activities lined up for you all. Here are the campus events going down this week. Be there or be square!
What: Online Students: Access “Launchpad to Learning”
Where: Online – Under “Enrollments”
This orientation introduces the online class environment to our new online students. Get familiar and learn how to use the school’s portal so you can better participate in classes. This is required for all new students.
What: Online Portal Walk-through
When: June 18 (Tuesday) | 5:00PM-6:00PM PST

What: New Student Move In
When: June 18 (Tuesday) and June 21 (Friday) | All Day
Are you all packed and ready to move into your college dorm? We’re ready if you are! Just make sure to take note of the days when the dorms are open for movers.
What: New Student Orientation: Summer 2019
When: June 19 (Wednesday) | 1:00PM-2:30PM
Where: 491 Post Street, Morgan Auditorium

If you’re new to the Academy of Art community, this is the best time to get to know fellow students, instructors, and directors. The orientation will detail the campus resources, events, and opportunities available to you. This orientation is REQUIRED for all new on-site undergraduate and graduate students.
What: Meet Your Department Director: Summer 2019
When: June 20 (Thursday) | 9:00AM-4:00PM
Where: By Department
If there’s anyone who can get you inspired and excited for the semester, it’s none other than your department directors. Get to know them and other faculty staff to pick up tips that can help you succeed in your program. This event is REQUIRED for all new undergraduate and graduate students.
Meanwhile, save time going from one class to another in different parts of the city. Hop aboard the Academy shuttle. Check out the Hayes Express Summer schedule throughout the semester.
