Spring Show 2019 Retrospective – Liberal & Fine Arts

For this next iteration in our Spring Show Retrospective, we take a look back at the masterpieces showcased by our fine art and liberal art students back in 2019.

Under this section, you’ll find pieces from the Schools of Art History, Fine Art, and Illlustration. You’ll also see works from the Foundation course, which is a standard class required for all students.

Academy of Art University’s Foundations program focuses on the rudimentary techniques of fine art, such as figure drawing, sketching, and painting. Regardless of what focus you may be pivoting to, Foundations is there to ensure that you are armed with the proper basic skills that will serve as the basis for the development and elevation of your art.

This is especially crucial because the Academy is an open-admissions school, which means that while portfolios are welcome, it is not required for student application. That’s because it is the belief of the institution that while creativity is a talent that some are born with, it is also a skill that most definitely can be honed and further developed, armed with the proper tools, guidance, and training.

Let this batch of student work prove exactly that to you:
