As we get ready for spring, let’s take a moment to welcome an important yearly observance: Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day! Accordingly, Academy of Art University would like to express our deepest appreciation for the amazing women of our art school community.

Women’s History Month, originally Women’s History Week, expanded to cover the month of March from 1987-onward. Like its name suggests, Women’s History Month honors not only the women movers and shakers whose achievements shaped society and culture worldwide, but also the everyday women who make our lives so much more vibrant.

So without further ado: thank you to the women faculty, students, and alumni of our art school! Your creativity and expertise uplift both our art school community and future generations of artists to come.
