Heads up, aspiring artists and designers! Academy of Art University has now opened the application process for the 2020 Spring Forward Scholarship! If you are an Academy undergraduate pursuing a degree beginning the Spring 2020 semester, consider yourself a candidate.
The entire applications process runs from October 1, 2019 throughout January 15, 2020, and will have multiple submission deadlines.
Beating the Deadlines
There are monthly submissions that you can look forward to, closing at 11:59PM of the 15th of each month UNTIL FUNDS ARE NO LONGER AVAILABLE. This is why we also strongly advice that you don’t wait for too long before you get on board. The sooner you complete your requirements, the higher the chances that you can be awarded a scholarship.
The closest deadline is in two weeks: November 15, 2019, and will require the submission of both an essay and artwork. A selection committee will then pick the recipients, as well as determine how much financial aid to grant to each.
Making the Grade
For the essay, you must answer the question: How will an education at Academy of Art University help you fulfill your dreams?
We hope you have a lot to say about the topic, because you have a maximum of 2,000 words to convince the selection committee that you deserve the scholarship.
Apart from the essay, you will also have to submit a maximum of three of your best pieces of work. It can be sketches, drawings, photos, film reels, etc. Take note that they will only accept submissions in DIGITAL FORMAT only. Anything sent in its physical format will not be accepted.
