The Persistence of Memory by Salvador Dali

Heads up! It’s Spring Forward!

It’s been cold and rainy the past couple of weeks, but it’s okay. Good things come to those who wait, and those waiting for Spring need not have to wait for too long. You know what else is lurking around the corner apart from this chirpy, sunny season, though?

Spring Forward.

That’s right. It’s that time of the year again. As you fall in deep slumber this weekend, trying to catch up on sorely needed sleep, remember that when the clock strikes 2AM PST on Sunday, March 10, you will lose an hour of sleep. Because the sunlight says so.

Standard time resumes during “Fall Back” on November 3, 2019, 2AM PST.

For our new international students who may find this all too confusing, don’t worry. What this simply means is that while you lose an hour of sleep, you’ll gain back in daytime activities because daytime is going to last an hour longer. More sunlight for everyone!

Anyway, let’s leave it to science to explain, shall we?
