Student-Athletes Video Project Nominated for 2019 ADDY Awards
Being a student-athlete is no walk in the park. Not only are they expected to perform well in their sport, they are also required to do well in their academics. It sounds tough as it is, but Men’s Golf team members and junior School of Advertising majors Lawrence Liang and Jose Lopez Butron show how it’s done like a boss.
Between the fall and golf spring seasons, the duo collaborated on a commercial project for sports brand Adidas. They then submitted their video ad project to the Student Division of the American Advertising Awards .
The ad, entitled “Never Walk Away,” features women athletes and the struggles that they regularly have to face in the sports arena. With its strong, empowering message, it is now garnering national attention as an official nominee for the Addy Awards.
The Addy Awards
