Thank You: Asian/Pacific American Heritage Month 2020
Join Academy of Art University in celebrating the many achievements and contributions from our Asian/Pacific American community!
May marks the Asian/Pacific American Heritage month. In 1978, the Congress declared the commemoration to celebrate the date of the first Japanese American immigrant’s entry and Chinese Americans’ contribution to the First Transcontinental Railroad.
As the land of immigrants, we are happy to celebrate the countless art and design contributions from our Asian/Pacific American community. From building important infrastructure to producing/directing a mainstream tv show, Asian/Pacific Americans have been part of the fabric of the American society since the very beginning. Little or big, their contributions have made the country the way it is today. And, they will continue to push forward in the future.
Here at Academy of Art University, we’d like to extend our thanks to the Asian/Pacific American artists and designers for making our community more colorful and diverse. We look forward to seeing more of you creating art and design that transforms and inspires lives.
