Academy Weekly: The Big Opening Week That Was
It was the first full week back to school, and with the Day in the Life premiere, Club Mixer & BBQ parties, and more, it definitely was a big one!
We kicked off the week by sharing our compilation of some First Day High IG Story posts from you. Oh, but it’s always nice to see everyone being so excited and optimistic about the semester ahead!
We’re just getting started, though. From now on, we want to hear more from you, so you can expect us to make call for submissions, such as the one we sent out for our alumni! If you’re an Academy of Art University graduate, do share with us some of your most memorable learnings during your time with us. A tip or two for our current students should come in very handy too.
We also had a compilation of mentions, shout-outs, and even a couple of feature posts on the recently held NYFW Graduate Show—which was a certified success, by the way.
On the academic front, we covered some basics on possible classes and courses you can expect from the following:
The biggest item we had on the dock last week, though, was the official premiere of our first Day In The Life video series, featuring School of Motion Pictures & Television’s Sam Bear. If you still haven’t seen it, go check it out! Sure is fun and interesting to see what Academy students are actually like on-site.
For all you know, we’ll be featuring your Day In The Life next.
Up Next This Week
Speaking of next, here are some of the things you can expect to find in our blog this week:
- A film school alumnus brings his first feature film to the main competition of SITGES Film Festival
- Things to look forward to in your game development career
- What you’ll learn from a music production degree
- Web design trends to look out for in 2020
- The Back To School Series – Fall Semester edition
- Emmy Nominations, and more!
You know the drill. Keep it locked here. We’ll serve all these treats right up.
We’re now accepting applications for the Spring semester. Don’t miss out on it! Our admissions representatives are also always ready to provide you more information; all you have to do is ask.
