Industrial Design School Takes Front and Center in Upcoming California by Design Episode
Remember that new design show that Academy of Art University teamed up with to showcase up and coming industry game changers? Well, mark your calendars because the episode featuring our industrial design school is coming soon!
The episode will air on April 18, at 10AM on KTVU Fox 2 – SF Bay Area and April 19, at 10AM on KTTV FOX 11 – LA, featuring AURA. This innovative device, designed by Santiago Bastidas using VR tools, is the same technology that students from the School of Industrial Design use to create their own designs.
You’ll have to wait until the actual episode to see what AURA truly is all about, though—unless of course you actually go to Academy of Art University’s industrial design school. Whether or not you do, it still would be such a treat to see the episode shine a light on what goes on behind classroom doors at the Academy.
Academy Learning Never Out of Style
The San Francisco art school invests in the latest devices and technology to help improve student’s skills and experience. The tools provided by the department help give the students the competitive advantage they will need as they make their way to forging their own career paths.
Perhaps this is also why partnering with the Academy was an obvious choice for Australian TV show California by Design. After all, if you want to go to the heart of art and design in the United States, there’s no getting it wrong in California; and in California, San Francisco; and in San Francisco, well, Academy of Art University.
You can either take our word for it, or you can see for yourself once Episode 3 airs on April 18 and 19. And keep in mind, Executive Director Tom Matano will also be appearing as a guest judge, so there’s definitely going to be another episode you shouldn’t miss.
We’ll keep you posted on more updates as they come. Meanwhile, save the date!
