Academy Weekly: Virtual Spring Show, Graduation, and More Upcoming Virtual Events

We told you we won’t be missing a beat! School may have moved online, but it’s certainly not cancelled, Spring Show and Graduation included.

People all over have been forced to rethink strategies and reimagine practical solutions creatively. Fortunately, that shouldn’t come too hard for us in art school, right/ We’ll find ways to make things work, unorthodox and far out the methods may seem. But hey, that’s how we hone ourselves to become creative problem-solvers, right

The Shows Do Go On

Take for example the annual Spring Show. It’s the biggest student showcase in the city every year, bringing in not only the general public, but also industry insiders and experts, potential employers, and professional recruiters. Can it still push through if the physical exhibit can’t happen anymore?

Well, ask no more because we’ve already cracked this nut. Spring Show 2020 is live, well, and online! For the first time ever in the event’s history, it’s gone completely virtual—and successfully so. Don’t take our word for it.

As for the Commencement Exercises, fine, the actual ceremony is yet to happen, but there will be one most certainly—just as soon as everyone’s health and safety can be guaranteed given the new protocols. The important thing is that Academy of Art University is truly proud and happy for all you graduates of 2020! We can’t wait to see you do your thing out in the world—even if it’s all going to be online. Enjoy these heartfelt congratulatory greetings from your instructors and directors!
