Academy Weekly: Standing Together and Proud

Let’s continue to stand together and promote diversity and inclusion by supporting our LGBTQ+ community!

As we enter the middle of June, we are still aware that the country is going through unprecedented times. Having hard conversations with family about justice and staying safe in the midst of the pandemic are just a few things that are happening now. Yet, we want to remain hopeful for a better and fairer future. Let’s move onto our weekly updates and continue to stand together in the midst of crisis.

Pride, Pride, Pride!

This month is all about pride! 2020 is the 50th anniversary of the pride celebration, so we pulled together a look back at past SF pride parades. Unfortunately, we’re unable to celebrate in person this year. However, we can still honor pride month by having a virtual movie watch party with friends! Take your pick from a list of our top iconic LGBTQ+ movies in the past 20 years.

There are still TONS of LGBTQ+ related content coming your way including a guest post from OUTLOUD this week! Stay tuned.

Other Posts from Last Week

Aside from pride content, we’ve also created a few fun articles about interior design, art education and more. Check out all of them here!

Coming Up

Other than our guest post from OUTLOUD this week, we will also have an article that examines art with LGBTQ+ themes throughout history. Additionally, we will go through the top five modern architecture of all time.

Another fun topic we will explore this week is the difference between actors in 1920 and 2020! It will be interesting to compare and contrast iconic performers in the past 100 years.

As always, we will have a creative mind review for all you podcast lovers out there. Then, we’ll finish it off with an exciting premiere for California by Design coming up next week!
